| i just finished day number 5 with my new job!!!! :) yay!!! | | |
| "OH MY GOSH! DIAL 911!!!!!!..." it had been raining really hard all day yesterday...(yes...we have been getting alot of rain here in texas)...i was supposed to get off of work at 8:00pm but i had forgotten that i had to get something done before i left so i didnt get out of there til about 8:10. now, on my way home from work, theres an overpass you can take over the tollway and i always take that so i dont get stuck below at a red light. anyways, there was a car in front of me and we were going at a normal speed but right at the entrance was a huge puddle of water that neither of us really saw. the guy in front of me hit it ...hydroplaned...then lost control of his car, swerved off to the left and tried to over-correct himself by turning his wheel to the right ...then the car totally flipped over!!!! and im not just talking about onto the roof of his car....like totally did a 360 flip side over side!! i dont even know if he flipped once or twice, it happened to fast! as soon as i saw him hit the water the first time and swerve, i immediately hit the brakes...i seriously thought either i was going to do the same or he was gonna hit me. so i go up about a couple hundred feet and pull over to the left. theyre working on building 121 so there was tons of empty space...anyways...i grab my keys and my cellphone and run over to the car as fast as i can. another guy had stopped to check on them too....luckily the 2 guys in the car were okay....the driver was really upset though because he has just gotten done paying off the damage to his car. i guess he had done something like this before. so i gave him my cell to call his parents and then his friend called his family. they told me i could go but i wanted to wait til their parents got there since they didnt have a cell with them.... thats not the end of it though... not even 5 minutes later, as we were standing there, a small car hits that same water, loses control, rams into the guard rail and starts going towards us...i could see this all happening and i yell get outta the way! so we run in the other direction and the girl who was driving the car managed to stay on the road but stopped like right in the middle...2 girls and a guy get out and one of the girls is bleeding and they were both crying. one of the guys from the first car had my phone so im like oh my gosh dial 911!! dial 911!! me and the other guys run to get them away from the car and then the guys from the first car push the girls' car out of the way. they completely totalled the car and eveerything! meanwhile i get on the phone with the operator and tell him where we are and all the details...a few minutes later the firefighters and paramedics and police show up. i guess they didnt realize they were completely separate accidents....so i was standing there while they were helping the girls and getting eveyrthing figured out...then later the police came, got my name and number and let me go... MAN THAT WAS NUTSSSSSS!!!!! i really hope those girls are okay.!!!!!! i did come home soaked from standing in the rain but its okay because it could have been alot worse!! | | |

| so i just realized that i havent posted in almost 2 months hahaha ======================================================== so for this whole month of january, i really disciplined myself not to spend extra money by going out to eat...5 more days and i will have gotten thru it! haha...i did go out to eat a few times this month, but whoever ive gone with has paid...crazyyyyy!!!! it took alot of prayer and self-discipline though. i'm thinking of trying it out for the month of february too...i just went to costco today and got frozen food and snacks and stuff all in bulk ...hopefully it lasts me...if not then i have major eating problems hahaha...it should definitely last for a while!!! so we'll see how it all goes...i should have made a list of all the times i wanted to grab a bite to eat at the mall while on my break and noted how much i would have spent...then i could see how much i actually saved...im guessing i probably saved myself about 75-100 bucks!! woo woo! praise God for giving me the self discipline and strength to say no when people wanted to go out to eat and when i had cravings for sonic or charley's grilled subs...GOD IS AWESOME! :) yay!! | | |
